As it turns out, many of you were doing so much in Baldur’s Gate 3 that some of your personal ‘story’ databases (where your choices and actions are stored) got too big. This content requires the base game Dead Space 3 on Steam in order to play. It is worth noting that, since the games part of these shutdowns are primarily single-player titles, they will still be perfectly playable for most players. Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian has issued an emergency hotfix that changes the way personal story databases work because players had maxed them out. Crysis 3 will be the first title to lose online support on September 7, with servers for survival horror hit Dead Space 2 and the classic hack-and-slash Dante’s Inferno set to close down on. The online service shutdown page on EA’s website states that the decision was made to shut down these servers because less than 1% of peak online players across all EA titles were playing these games, and that it was no longer feasible for the company to continue supporting these games. While most of these games didn’t feature much in the way of multiplayer, Crysis 3 is a notable title in this list since it features several multiplayer game modes. Publisher EA has shut down the servers for some of its older titles, including Dead Space 2, Crysis 3, Dante’s Inferno, and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, as caught by Pure Xbox. ![]()
